https://www.runragnar.com/event-detail/relay/adirondacks?utm_source=grtconline.org&utm_medium=Online%20Calendar&utm_content=calendar_rr_adirondacks Reebok Ragnar Relay Adirondacks kicks off in Saratoga Springs where runners are immediately immersed by the beauty of upstate New York. Teams of 12 (or 6) head north and experience views of Saratoga Lake, the Hudson River and simple countryside. At appropriately named Million Dollar Beach (Lake George) runners find a place to sleep (?), relax, swim, and admire the sunset with friends. Lit-up vans, costumes and a billion stars overhead come together to create an unforgettable night run that you can only experience at Ragnar. Special to this race, those who tackle the hardest leg on the course up Tongue Mountain will be rewarded with extra Ragnar bling. On Saturday, the whisper of crisp air fills your lungs as you run through the golden light of Aspen trees and up the southern side of Lake Champlain. Your team will finish like champions at Lake Placid, the home of two Winter Olympic Games. Discover what it means to find your inner wild on Sept. 22-23. Your sore legs won’t last, but your memories will.

RWC Raiders Redhawks Alumni 5k

Sat. 23 Sep, 2017 8:30 am

The inaugural Raiders & Redhawks Alumni 5k will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. This is not your typical road race. It is a cross country race through the beautiful Matt St. James Cross Country Trails on the Roberts Wesleyan College campus. The race is held to benefit Matt St. James ’07 and to honor the memory of Greg Greve ’95. It will be held during the College’s Homecoming weekend.

It is NOT necessary to be a Roberts Wesleyan alumnus to participate.

Matt St. James graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2007 with a degree in Social Work. He is also a 2003 Churchville-Chili alumnus. Matt was a top runner on the Roberts Cross Country and Track teams for four years. On March 14, 2007 he was running at practice when he suffered from cardiac arrest which resulted in a severe brain injury. He is now living at home with his family and requires around the clock care.

Greg Greve ran cross country and track for Roberts Wesleyan from 1991 to 1994 and loved the sport. He was affectionately called "Rico" by his teammates. Sadly, Greg died in a fire just before is senior year.

You can register online with a credit card at rwchomecoming2017.eventbrite.com. You may also purchase a t-shirt only or make a donation here.
