Standings for the Rochester Runner of the Year series are now out for the first 5 races. The first 5 races are: Runnin’ of the Green 5 miler, Lilac 10K, Sunset House 5K, Charlie McMullen 1 mile, and the June Jaunt 5K. Scores for the Jungle Jog will be added in at a later date.
To be considered a series participant, you have to complete 4 of the 12 races, however your top 6 races will all be counted. Your score for this series is based on the fastest runner overall and the fastest runner in your age group for each race. Unlike in many previous years, if you complete the race, you will have a score. You will notice that runners who have completed more RROY races have a higher standing. There are 6 more races and still a lot of time for things to change.

hi! what a bunch of work tabulation of the results likely is, thanks for releasing these results. Unfortunately you missed including two of my race result.

I spot the first two races now in my 45-49 age group but not the next 3 races! then for overall males the opposite??? please correct when able.
maybe I just misunderstand how the age group and overall points come together. looked simple at first, my apologies.
Hi Ken. Just looking at this briefly it appears that you are listed twice on the overall standings – once as having completed 3 races and once as having completed 2 races. This will have to be merged. I’m glad that you mentioned this, and we will take a look at it and make corrections. I apologize for the delay in responding.
Was the Stache Dash part of the RROY Series. The Stache Dash race page claims to be part of the series but it is not listed on your master race list.
The Stache Dash was not part of the series this year. Unfortunately, we did not connect before the series began this year.
