This the is the 50th Annual event! And we have some special before, during and after events planned. Come join us in what is usually the peak of fall in the Adirondacks. This year’s event is a fund raiser for youth drug and alcohol prevention programs in the region.
Race starts at the Olympic Skating Oval on Main Street in the middle of Lake Placid, the routes head North, through the center of Lake Placid’s business district. The course proceeds along Mirror Lake and then onto Route 73 passing the North Elba Horse Show Grounds and the Olympic Ski Jumping complex. Runners then turn left onto a flat, out and back road along the AuSable river. Excellent scenery and changing leaves at the peak of the fall season. Runners will return up the only significant uphill to the finish at the North Elba Horse Show Ground. A traditional runner’s event, with low entry fees. Come run it again, or enjoy it for the first time.
