Matt St James is a 2003 Churchville Chili High School graduate. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2007 with a degree in Social Work. Matthew was a top runner on the Cross Country and Track teams for four years. He was out running every day, giving it his all, running for the glory of God. On March 14, 2007, Matt was running at practice on the outdoor track when he had cardiac arrest with a brain injury as a result.
The Matt St James 5k will be supporting 9yr old Eliana Burtner this year. Eliana brings a smile to everyone who meets her with a sweet and spunky personality.
Eliana has Spina Bifida and is wheelchair user. Her family needs a new wheelchair van to help transport Eliana to her various appts and family activities.
