The Potato Run is a 10K race that’s walker-friendly and diet sensitive. Part of both the West of the River Series, by Obatron Productions/Obatron Fitness, and Rochester Runner of the Year Series, by Greater Rochester Track Club, The Potato Run offers a mix of rolling hills (about 1/3) and flat stretches throughout the park and in the surrounding area. You need not enter other races to register for this one, but it makes a great challenge to do more!
The generous 2-hour, 15-minute cutoff time means anyone capable of a 21-minute, 46-sceond per mile pace will be on time! After crossing the finish line, you’ll get a medal and a potato bar! We’ll have potatoes (likely salt potatoes), various toppings, and potato chips besides Gatorade and water. There is an aid station on the course.
Everyone gets a single-serve Potato Kit as part of their race goodies and there’s a free raffle for racers and volunteers.
