All information provided is subject to change without notice. GRTC provides information as a courtesy to the running community and is not involved in the administration of any listed groups. Contact the groups to verify current information before stopping in for a workout. If you are responsible for a listed group and information has changed or you organize a local group that’s not listed, please contact us with a link to this page with the information that needs updated or added.
Bagel Bunch
Saturday 7:00 am at Bruegger’s Bagel Bakery, Latta and Long Pond Roads in Greece. Various routes and distances, maps and water stops provided. Sunday 11:20 am – same location. We usually run about 6 miles, various routes, which are decided on the spot.
Certified Five and Diners
Wednesday, Winter (starting the Wednesday after the end of DST), meet at Johnny’s Irish Pub, at 1382 Culver Road, corner of Merchants Rd., at 6:00 pm , with the opportunity for post-run socializing. Summer, (during DST) meet at the Mendon Ponds Park Beach Parking Lot about 6:00 pm. Trail runs.

Flour City Hash House Harriers
Hashing is a worldwide phenomenon with more than 2500 clubs in more than 100 countries. The local club in Rochester is known as the Flour City Hash House Harriers. The Hash is a non-competitive, laid-back group running for fun, socialization and beer. Hashing is commonly referred to as a drinking club with a running problem. Each week a person known as the hare designates a location for the hash and sets a trail for everyone else (hounds) to follow. There are refreshment stops on trail. Not everyone drinks, so Gatorade and water are also provided. We are generally trail runners, but a hash run can be set anywhere. WALKERS ARE WELCOME. Hash cash is $4. Montana Mills Milers (M3)
An informal group, meeting Saturdays at 8:00 am at Montana Mills Bakery, Main St., Canandaigua, NY. Two or three groups: 3-mile at a slow pace, a 5- to 7-mile route at a medium pace, and a longer, faster route for you longer and faster folk. Afterward, we sit around and drink coffee. Moms in Motion
Our Rochester Running Team provides a fun, supportive, and structured environment to help women from a variety of fitness backgrounds to improve their running skills and overall physical health. The teams meet on Saturday or Sunday mornings throughout the year. We also have many multi-sport athletes that train together. We often meet after practice for presentations by speakers covering a wide range of fitness and health topics. We have private Yahoo groups that we are able to coordinate weekday training sessions and support.
We also meet for special events, philanthropy and social gatherings.

Naples Running Group
Naples Running and Walking Group (NRG) a weekly walking/jogging and running group that meets every Saturday (except holidays) at 9:30a.m, at St. Januarius Church, 180 North Main St., Naples, NY. This is the perfect place to work on your fitness and get to know the 5K course for the St. J’s 5K held the last Saturday in April. The group is very social and participants are encouraged to workout with others who are at their own fitness level. We have 1st time walkers/joggers and seasoned athletes that participate every week. Sunday 8:30 am Memorial Day through Labor Day; 9:00 am remainder of the year. Meet at Pittsford Dept. of Transportation, off Monroe Ave next to canal towpath. Flat routes of 5 -8 miles, 7:30 – 10:30 pace.
Rochester FrontRunners / FrontWalkers
The local chapter of the International Front Runners. (www.frontrunners.org). We are a group of gay men and women interested in fitness and social interaction. The gang meets Saturday 9:00 am, Monday and Wednesday 6:00 pm in the parking lot of the George Eastman House, near the East Avenue entrance, rain or shine. Join us for a 3-mile run, a 5-mile run, or a 3 mile walk through the East Avenue / Park Avenue neighborhood and then relax and chat afterward at one of several coffee shops. Questions? Rochester Running Emus (formerly Marathon Training Group)
Inviting runners at every level to join us.
The Running Emus is a free, informal running team comprised of runners who have various running goals but a common commitment to encouraging, challenging and supporting one another as we make running fun. There is no charge to join our team. The only requirement: Come with a positive attitude and plan to have fun!
Whether you are a new runner or an experienced runner, our team welcomes you. Our philosophy is that running should be fun, challenging and life enhancing. Runners tend to be a generous group of people, always eager to support new or less experienced runners. Joining a running team capitalizes on this generosity creating a team spirit that helps individual runners share their collective experience, meet their individual running goals, and support each other along the way.
The Running Emus is a team comprised of individuals with a variety of personal goals. Some of the members of our team have specific training goals and some just like to run with the group for fun. Whatever your reason for running, we want to welcome you to be part of our team.

Westside RATS Run-Bike-Run (RBR) Group

West Side Walkers and Runners
Organized by Vickey Beaver of Obatron Production’s fitness arm, Obatron Fitness. This free group encourages people to connect through the Facebook page to meet with people with similar goals exclusively on the west side of the Genesee River. It also offers multiple weekly workouts, often at Greece Canal Park. Typically, workouts start at 9 a.m. on Sundays, 8:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, and, when applicable, 6 p.m. on Fridays.
