Hello! Attached is a zip file of Rochester Runner of the Year series scores after our 1st 7 races. We have 5 races left, including the Oak Tree 5K tomorrow morning https://oaktreerace.org/ and the Heritage Hero Run + Stroll + Roll the week following https://p2p.onecause.com/heritagehero Your 1st 6 races will count towards your score, even though you only need to do 4 races to participate. The more races you do, the better chance you have of winning, and there are cash prizes for our top 3 male and female overall runners. This is a great opportunity for our area runners to be recognized. I very much hope to see 3 other women (other than myself) in the top 3 overall spots at the end of the series. Having said that, I plan on being at the rest of the races and I will be putting forth some sort of effort. If you see any errors with the results (ex.: misspelled name, name in 2 places, etc.,) please let me know, and we will get it corrected. Special thanks to Egils Robs for all work tabulating scores. How do I extract the results from the file so I can check it out? What do I click on?

It depends on your computer or device. For devices running Windows, typically you click the link to download the zipped file and save it to your device where you want it located. Once you’ve done that, go to that location. Depending upon how you did the save, it may be an immediate option, but if it isn’t, go to File Explorer and navigate to wherever you saved it. Once there, you’ll see the zipped folder, RROY_2024_FirstSeven-2 in this case. If you RIGHT click on it, you should get a pop-out menu with an option to Extract All. Click it. At that point, you have a choice of leaving the file named as it is or renaming it to something you’d prefer. Once you decide, click “Extract.” You’ll now see a folder that doesn’t have a little zipper, which you click to get to all the files.
If you have a different operating system or are working on a phone, go to Google or another search engine and search for “How do I extract files from a zipped folder on X” where X=whatever you’re using.
