Happy Holidays! Below is a zip file of the preliminary results for the Rochester Runner of the Year series for the year 2024. Please take a look at the list of overall winners and any individual age groups that you are interested in. Keep in mind that for 2024 participants had to run at least 4 races, but their top 6 scores count towards their final score. The top 3 overall male and female winners do not also qualify for age group awards because as overall winners they will be receiving cash prizes. Having said that, I will be tweaking the results in a few age groups by removing overall winners and bumping other participants up. Review your results and let me know if you see any discrepancies, or if you have any questions about your results. If a runner’s name is spelled slightly different in a couple different events, it can affect the way results show up. Winners and people who ran at least 6 RROY races will be recognized at our upcoming banquet (details on the banquet to be released later.)
Here are a few observations I had – we have male and female age group winners this year up to the 75-79 age group. We also had quite a bit more male runners than females and our male runners were more spread out throughout the various age groups. For women, there was a concentration of runners in their later 30s, later 40s to early 50s, and later 60s.
