“Attached are tabulated and cleaned-up RROY files. I scanned through them, and here are the story-lines that caught my eye and were interesting:
- After data cleanup, Peg Lamark is in third place in her age group. However, if NANCY CAVINESS shows up at the last race, she may be knocked off the podium.
- Knowing who Peg is, I like the idea that her consistency may be rewarded.
- Colin Williams – age 8 – cannot lose #2 place in his age group regardless of what happens at the last RROY race, but he could even win his age group if he shows up, scores at least 12 points in his age group, and the current leader does not participate at the last race.
- There are three participants that have participants in all 11 RROY races this year. One of them asked to remain anonymous, but the other two names are Gregory Nowakowski and Ken Stack.
- Cheryl Guth is the only participant that has a perfect age winner’s score of 600 so far.
- Mitzie Lewandowski, Laura Galeazzo, Chad Byler, and Mike Nier have a chance to have a perfect age group winner score of 600 if they participate in the last RROY race and win their age group.
- Chuck Martin, age 77, is the oldest RROY-eligible gentleman and also won his age group.
- Colin Williams, age 8, is the youngest RROY-eligible gentleman and has a chance to win his age group
- Mitzie Lewandowski, age 77, is the oldest RROY eligible lady and will also win her age group.
- Francesca Clements, age 21, is the youngest RROY eligible lady, and she will win her age group.
Granted, there is one more RROY rage to go this year, but honestly, I do like the new RROY scoring that rewards the consitancy. The fast runners can and will win either overall or their age groups, but the consitant participant has a good chance for a podium finish.”
