In an ordinary year, the Runnin’ of the Green (ROTG) 5 Mile Race would be the kickoff race for the Rochester Runner of the Year (RROY) competition – a fitting start to a campaign of a dozen races ending on Thanksgiving. But again in 2021, the pandemic has forced a virtual edition of the ROTG. However, just because it is virtual and will not count towards the 2021 RROY (if we get back to in person racing this year), that does not mean we can’t support this great event enthusiastically as part of the RROY and Rochester running community families.
To that end, the GRTC is offering an incentive for members who run the ROTG. All GRTC members who finish in the 2021 ROTG will have their names entered in a drawing. In addition, every member who posts a picture on our Facebook page while wearing this year’s Runnin’ of the Green shirt will also be entered in the drawing. Finish the race, post a pic, and get entered twice!
The three winners in the drawing will receive the GRTC tee of their choice (color, design, fabric) from the club’s Threadless merchandise catalog.
